In some garments industry workers are not getting wages in government fixed time. That’s why there is occurring some labor unrest by garments workers. By showing different excuse in every months some garments factories owner make delay to pay salary of workers. That’s why this type of occurrence is taking part. We have come to know about this news from the special report of prime minister’s office.
In this report, there has been noted that, it was so that in garments factories workers wages will be paid before 7th day of every month. However, in November last year was unable to pay the salaries on 15th December, 104 factories. So there Labor unrest occurred in six factories.

There are about 4222 garments factories which are not paying wages in time as per documents of BGMEA. Which cover 20% of total garments factories of Bangladesh.
In the report of prime minister’s office, there have been mentioned 104 factories name and address which did not pay the wages of December in time.
These factories are mainly located in: (as the report of prime minister’s office)
- Dakkhin Khan
- Ashulia
- Tongi
- Mirpur
- Tejgaon
- Savar
- Pallabi etc.
BGMEA assistant President Md. Sahidaullaha Azim said, “Garment factory owners are now trying to pay wages on time, they took into negotiations with the workers who made late for one or two days. He claimed that he did not have any problems in the past few months”
