By keeping the view to showcase cotton and to provide buyers and sellers with the opportunities to share their thoughts, the first “Global Cotton Summit Bangladesh-2015” is going to be begin in Dhaka tomorrow. This summit is going to organize at Radisson hotel for two days. Two association name Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) and Bangladesh Cotton Association will jointly organize this event.
BTMA president Tapan Chowdhury said yesterday in a press conference that over 250 delegates from Bangladesh, India, Poland, Russia, Pakistan, US, China, UK, Egypt, Turkey, Singapore, Switzerland, Hong Kong and France will join the summit.
Cotton is a vital raw material for garments. In the globe Bangladesh is the second largest cotton importer. Every year Bangladesh import cotton in a large quantity cotton. From the speech of BTMA president we have to know that Bangladesh imports 5.5 million bales of cotton in a year. So, obviously this summit will help Bangladeshi garments manufacturers to get the opportunity to narrow the gap with the global cotton sellers.
By making direct contact, buyers and sellers will get chance to reduce the business risk of cotton buying or selling.
