Because of ongoing Hartal and blockade RMG order shortfall is going on. If situation is going in such way than order shortfall of may be severe from June. Vice president of BGMEA Shahidullah Azim said that the retailers of their representatives were due in January and February to have look at the factories and put in work orders for the summer but they did not come.

In the monthly forum meeting, on March 2, which held in Dhaka, The RMG retailers said that they are not placing the full order volumes fearing volatility of political situation. Moreover they are now considering for Vietnam, Cambodia and India as the replacement of Bangladesh for some orders.
That news is really bad news for Bangladeshi RMG manufacturers. Most of the RMG manufacturers are visiting different countries like China, India, Thailand due to attend meeting though the retailers refused to travel Bangladesh.
The internal situation of transport system has been improved partially but the retailers are still now cancelling order from Bangladesh by showing Hartal and Blockade reason. Ongoing Hartal and blockade is being a burning issue for RMG sector of Bangladesh though it seems as the retailers are using this issue as an excuse to cancel order from Bangladesh.
