10.88% Less Growth of RMG Exporting

According to Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh, exporting of Ready Made Garments in the major export destination is decreasing day by day. Though the average report of RMG is on rise but exporting in major destination is decreasing. RMG exporting USA which is one of the major market of exporting RMG from Bangladesh has decreased by 2.58% in current fiscal year’s first eight month than previous FY rate.

This decreasing scene is also observing in another major exporting market Germany. In Germany there is 0.53% decrease has been in on current FY (2014-2015). The average exporting report shows increase because there is 8.62% increase in UK market, 8.37 % in Spain, 2.62% in France, 9.58% in Italy, 4.11% in Belgium, 10.46 % in Japan, 15.22% in Denmark. But there is great amount of decrease of RMG export in Canada which about 12.58%.

According to Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) in first eight month in current FY 2014-2015 there has been exporting about 1,655 crore US$ totally. There is 5.46 % increase in average to export RMG. But last year in same time there was 16.34% increase in RMG exporting. So, there is about 10.88 % less growth than previous year.

For this less growth of RMG exporting, ongoing political violence is mainly reasonable. If this situation is going on as present than this will make more decreased rate of RMG exporting.
