    ILO Complains Garments Factory Owner

    International Labor Organization (ILO) has complained as that in the case of monitoring safety and security flaw of garments factory, the garments factory owner are obstructing to do so. From this organization it has also been told that some garments owner is denied to let the monitoring team to get in. On the other hand, some factories address is not available according to the advising address of monitoring team. In a meeting on last Thursday, The organization ILO accuse such complain.

    They also opine as that for being more than one visit in one factory there is being interruption in production. They also present a question mark about the capability of RAJUK (Rajdhani Unnoyon Kortipokkho) to ensure the improvement of the structure of factory building.

    The owner, the representatives of the workers of the committee of National Tripartite Plan of Action-NTPA and representatives of government also attended this meeting. This committee has been formed consisting of the garments owner, government and ILO.

    From the statement of ILO secretary Michael Shipper we have come to know that it is true that ILO has complained that some factories owners has denied to visit their factories but they did not specify the name and no of garments factory who has done so. He also opine saying that the owners of garments factories has no right to show such apathy not to co-operate the visitors. Because all of the garments factories have to come to in a general standard. He also added saying that some garments factories has already been closed.
