To improve the consciousness and prevention of tuberculosis there was held a seminar on a renowned hotel in the capital of Bangladesh yesterday. In this seminar there were present about 75 Managing director and production Manager of different Garments factory. Till yesterday BGMEA has taken about 882 different seminar to prevent tuberculosis in Garments sector.
In the garments Industry there are now about 1,127 tuberculosis patient who are working in different garments industries. Till last February there were made diagnosis of being tuberculosis patient about 2,317 people. In this operation there were 11 clinic of BGMEA work together to find out the tuberculosis patient from different garments factories. Among them 1,190 tuberculosis patient have got rid from this disease.
Masud Kader the president of BGMEA tuberculosis prevention committee has said that, “To remove tuberculosis from export oriented garments factories in Bangladesh, Bangladesh Government is working with BGMEA from 2009 and BRAC is working with BGMEA from 2010. He optimize that with the help of every one RMG sector can be removed from of tuberculosis.
