Though Bangladesh is a very small country but its contribution in RMG sector for the whole world is not neglectable. The foreign buyers are too much happy with price and qualified Bangladeshi RMG product. As a result 85% of Bangladeshi RMG production is sold to North American & European customers and virtually overnight Bangladesh became the 2nd largest exporter of garment products in the world for last three decades. ‘Made in Bangladesh’ is a renowned brand in the western countries. Where Bangladesh has a vast successful history for RMG exports.

An UK based renowned news portal “Yarn & fibre” has confirmed that by following Bangladesh’s success at RMG export Italian textile companies have set a plan to transfer their factory production in Bangladesh.
The report was published on last Friday where its said that Bangladesh is now the seventh-largest importer of Italian Textile Machineries. And Italians are eagerly waiting to enjoy as much as profit such as GSP, GSP+, duty free access etc from the Bangladeshi RMG sector by establishing their factories in Bangladesh.
The news portal also noted that Italian businessmen are focused to use various unused parts of Bangladesh economy such as urbanization, sustainable, renewable energy and food processing, food security and sustainable development of agriculture.
Earlier, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi met with each other on the occasion of the tenth meeting of ASEM Summit in October last year. Where they discussed about the bilateral relations, especially economic relationships between the two countries to strengthen further.
Recently the Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Benedetto Della Vedova has reviewed the advancement of two Prime Minister decision. And he is noted that the advancement of this issue has a great importance on development of both nations. And it is ultimately good news for Bangladeshi RMG sector.
