    Garments Buyers Worried for Political Crisis of Bangladesh

    There were 65 international retailers at the regular “buyer forum meeting” which was held in a renowned hotel named Westin Hotel in Dhaka yesterday. They have asked for immediate solution of the current political crisis. They point out as ongoing blockade is interrupting their chain of supply. The retailers have asked government for keeping the Dhaka-Chittagong highway free from violence of politics. Because it is the question of the smooth supply chain.

    It was a very important meeting in which 65 major worldwide retailers took part who purchase garments of 22 USD billion from Bangladesh out of 25 USD billion in each year export from Bangladesh.

    From all of these buyers, some leading buyers were:
    1. Walmart
    2. Gap
    3. JC penny
    4. C & A
    5. H & M
    6. G-Star
    7. Tesco 
    The buyers are so much worried about present horrible political situation of Bangladesh. The buyers said Bangladesh will face again an image crisis if the political violence is going on for long.

    The commerce minister Tofail Ahmed ensures buyers by saying that, “ The situation will improve very soon”.
