At least 10 people were injured in a clash between the students of Pabna Textile Engineering College and police over removing barricades from Dhaka-Pabna highway in front of the college Monday.
Principal Shib Shankar Chakraborty said that hearing the news, the students of the college took out a procession on the campus and vandalised classroom.
The agitating students later put up barricades on the highway, protesting the incident, campus sources said.
As police went to the spot to remove the barricades, the students started hurling brick chips at the law enforcers, prompting them to use truncheons, said Md Ahsanul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station. Ratul returned to the campus within two hours, the OC added.
