Chinese RMG Exporters are Coming to Bangladesh

China's apparel exports to the United States market is decreasing. China is at the top of the business world clothing exports. But recent time China is losing business. There is a provability to come China’s business in Bangladesh. Vietnam is the second position in the US market in the first eight months of the current fiscal year, It's exports to $ 725 million. Now it has increased at 13.04 percent. Last year, the US garment imports in the amount of 6 percent to 34 percent in Bangladesh.

In the first eight months of this year (January-August), it has increased by 6 percent to 57 percent. It is known from US Department of Commerce annual report.

Different brands and buying houses of USA import 5406 crore USD from different country of the world.

China's clothing exports to the US market for a long time. The following are the top four positions, respectively, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia and India.

According to USA report Bangladesh export readymade garments equivalent to 129 million square meters from January to August this year.

Farooq Hasan, vice president of BGMEA said, 485 billion US dollar apparel business was done in the world at 2014. Last year it decreases at 443 billion US dollar. That means apparel market is somewhat recession. For this, many countries with China decrease apparel export but don’t decrease it in Bangladesh.

Farooq Hassan said in the context of China, "Chinese entrepreneurs are moving from the clothing business to weaving mill. As a result their business goes to another country. We are ready to take a big part of the business. Several factories in the country are of good quality. In addition, buyers Non-Accord and the Alliance garment factories under the extensive work to improve working conditions. I hope the coming year will be more of our apparel exports.
